I highly recommend physical therapy. It helped my mom with similar issues.

+1 That's why I'm gonna retire in my mid 50s. I'd retire earlier but I have colleges to pay for two kids.

I told my mom this exact thing.. why would I wait to travel in my 60s/70s when I'll be too tired to walk around for hours sightseeing. Gotta retire youngish so I can travel and enjoy.

These shoes helped me:

Insoles help too but I had to buy several to get the right combination.

I did physical therapy for a while and that helped strengthen the muscles on the side and back of my legs to provide greater stability. And, in my case, I have also changed my office chair and I use a standing desk several hours a day. I also use a Fitbit. It sounds like a lot but the multi-pronged approach has helped and has allowed me to slowly increase my walking distance so I build more stamina.

Same. I have high arches. I used to work in food service and it was torture.

This happens to me when I first stand up and walk after sitting a long time. Once I get going I’m okay.
