same girl! and i’m barely 5ft! anything under 135 looks sickly on me.

5' and 135lbs is considered overweight.

Everyone carries weight differently. If you saw a 5’ woman who weighed 135 you would not think overweight. You seem judgmental toward other ladies, though! Not a good vibe!

135 on an apple shaped person who is 5’ would absolutely look overweight. Like you said, everyone carries weight differently, depends on body type.

I am 5’1” and even as a college athlete I was 130 lbs. I looked thin but muscular. Bodies are weird that way. Different frames/builds etc.

I am currently 30 pounds overweight (combination baby plus COVID weight). It’s really hard to lose weight, I do a 30 minute cardio/HITT workout 6 times a week, 10,000 steps a day, scale doesn’t budge. Like a PP, IF does work for me but I have to be intentional and eat really healthy during my eating period. My DH can just fast but eat whatever he wants and still drop weight.

I am currently losing 2 lbs per week with this method. Have just been doing it for a month. I am sure it will get harder as I get closer to goal weight.

1. you are not 5'1" and not the target audience.
2. not everyone is created the same. When I was pregnant with a 9lb baby, I hit 130lb, and believe me, I was not starving myself
3. I looked good at 103b. If I weighted 140lbs I'd be considered obese and super unattractive.

If someone is 5 ft 1 and weighs 140 pounds their BMI is 26.4, which is barely overweight and certainly not obese, wtf?

5’ and maybe a half inch. Mid forties. I have a rectangle shape that turns to apple shape when I am over ideal weight. I feel best between 100 and 106. Even at 100, my waist is 29 inches. Once I’m over 106 I start having a protruding belly starting just under my breasts down to my pubic area. It’s very uncomfortable when sitting down.

To actually lose weight, I had to stick to 1000. I did clear this with my doctor. Our height makes a difference. We do not need the same caloric intake as women of average US height to get the nutrients we need.

I lost about .25 lbs a week. I tracked all calories through loseit app after I wasn’t losing any weight. I realized I was underestimating how much I ate. Anyway, once I got the calories right I started losing.

I do 30-45 min of cardio 3-4 times a week and strength train 2 times a week.

at this size, I think the best thing you can do is get a dexa scan that gives you your basal metabolic rate. Then, a food scale. Some small people can eat a lot, others have to really watch every bite. I did a scan (two, actually) and discovered my bmr is 980 calories; my daily burn, with moderate exercise averages 1380 calories, so eating 1200 a day means 1 # loss every 3 weeks or so. And a few days of indulgence puts you right back where you started. Its probably why I've given up going down to 115# (I'm 5'1'.5") and hover closer to 122/4. What i have to do to lose that weight is tough. I will say I have long done IF, as I found that its much easier to eat two meals a day and feel satisfied than 3 tiny ones. I also do occasional 24-48 hour fasts for a reset. Mostly I think its key to build muscle for general health and metabolism. I injured myself and am getting surgery and will be off for several months and have not only seen my fitness slip and weight creep but also mental calm go away.

I'm the Violet Beureguarde poster above. If I could get to 135 it would be the perfect weight for me. My head is giant so I look a little like those dolls with the big heads when I lose weight.

How many calories do you think you eat?

Let's touch base again when you're 52.

Yeah, menopause could mix it up. I have an imperfect figure and was anorexic for years - at one point, just 87 pounds. So I just can’t starve myself and deprive myself again.

Haha. This is why I'm not a skinny 5'1". (I'm around 130. Would like to get back to 120, which was my pre-second-pandemic-baby weight, but I also really like food and beer.)
