At our school, the assignments are all online via canvas. They could be using a textbook but the material is all online so doubt they want to lug one of those around since there would be no point.


Except for the Luddites, who can't wrap their head around the idea that things like Kindle books exist.

Nice try. NAEP is the Nations report card and gathers a sample from all counties, not just Baltimore. MCPS is the largest district in Maryland and thus is a part of the Maryland NAEP score. Excellent marks for obfuscation.

Do you know any MCPS schools or kids who took the test? Around 2000 students took the test and they were mostly around the Baltimore area, for at least the last ten years.

My kids took Alg and Geometry in MS, and I don't recall if they had textbooks, but my DC in HS who took AP BC calc last year did have a textbook that they kept at home.

It depends on the class, but generally no. For I think Algebra they had it. When we had the workbooks they never used them.

No, they've moved past 19th-century educational practices and no longer use scrolls either. They now use this thing called the internet for most classes.

LOL - I wouldn't arrive at this conclusion based on the few kids in MD who took their exam. It was only given to a few kids in Baltimore county, not MCPS.
