Easily undone if she changes her mind about them later in life.
How does one unpierce?
You take the earrings out. They might close up, might not, but either way there’s no piercing without jewelry in it.
I am very open to anything that isn’t long lasting. In our home, our kids can do pretty much whatever they want in terms of hair, clothing or anything else that doesn’t risk being permanent. Piercings, though, I would want to wait a while longer, similar to tattoos. We may be going through a phase where things are more popular and entering into phases where they are not. For better or worse, there is messaging that goes along with bodily markings, whether tattoos, piercings or anything else. I would not leave that in the hands of a teenager, frankly whether 12 or 16. I personally like double and triple piercings, but I also think that my children should have a relatively clean slate to work with as young adults to make their own decisions once they have a clearer sense of identity and needs. So for me, it is not so much the exact age, but really delaying until much later time for anything about which the world me, rightly or wrongly, make judgments in terms of hiring promotions or like.
