Tay always SAYS the songs are about anyone and anybody, but she can't help herself, they are real time play by plays of her romances.
It's like the next book in a series!

I had been looking forward to the Lover tour. Our kids were just the right age and would have loved it. Locer was such an upbeat and happy album, and I loved the candy-colored visuals she started to roll out to go along with it. We were so disappointed when Covid hit and pre-empted the tour.![]()
While I loved that she was so prolific during Covid, I didn't like her recent albums as much. Thoughtful but ultimately dull, IMHO. Hoping Midnight is concert-worthy!!
Her The National producer that did the last two isn’t working on this album so it will be!
There are some concert worthy songs on those albums. August, Gold Rush, and Champagne problems would fit, plus songs could be remixed. It would be amazing if she played a stadium at each tour stop with the upbeat hits and a smaller venue for folklore/evermore. I prefer the last two albums and would love to see those performed somewhere like the kennedy center of wolf trap. Prices would be astronomical.
