Subject: What time will you start trick or treating?
How are people trick or treating at 4 or 4:30?
Doesn't the typical work day end at 5? Then commute home, dinner, change into costume, etc?
I get that a lot of people work from home now, but not everyone does.

We usually head out around 6 or 6:30. Our door is closed and light is out until about then as well as we try to eat and get ready.
Your 1yr old is adorable but please don’t knock on my closed door at 5pm and expect me to be ready.

The littlest ones often go out before 6pm. When I had toddlers, we’d just go to like 5-10 houses on our street of people we knew. Then home by 6.

I grew up in the DMV and this is not remotely true.

The thing is ever since the country pushed the time change after Halloween, it gets dark much later.
I believe the reason for pushing back the date of the time change was to allow ToT when there was still light. But it does really ruin the vibe and means you have to start later if you want to be in the dark.
