This is not true. My child received Letter of Commendation for National Merit a couple weeks ago.

Whitman hasn’t notified nat’l merit commended.

Test was a year ago. Why does it take so long?

They apparently have the letters, just haven’t given them out yet for some reason. Probably so many kids they don’t want to take the time right now. My kid’s counselor said to put it since DC knows qualified.

RM doesn't do honor roll but they have NHS.

RM does have Honor Roll. They listed it the first 3 quarters last year for each grade on the school website. Basically, 450+ students from each grade was included.

For SSL award, if you already meet the requirements, can you list but say “anticipated June 2023?” Like college seniors do for their degrees?

I think you can say that. My kid has 350 hours instead of 75 and is going to add that to her Common App.

207!?! Didn’t it use to be about 212.

“The national cutoff for commended students was 207 for the 2022 scholarship cycle. Test-takers with a 207 or higher became either commended students or semifinalists. The scholarship program determines semifinalists on a state-proportional system.” From Sept 2022.

You can look up your kid’s score and figure this out.
