Yes you should be remediating the mold problem in your basement

Oh sweetie, you are going to FREAK OUT when you find out that some antibiotics are derived from mold.

And there are billions of viruses in just a liter of seawater, which means there at least several in a glass of water.

The white residue is because most people use too much detergent. You only need 2 tablespoons per load.

Why are you wearing clothes with mildew on them? If it helps ease your anxiety, I had a large shipment of my household goods- clothes, small furniture, pillows, blankets, etc. arrive from overseas ruined by mildew. We had to have most stuff professionally cleaned outside our house or tossed, but there was about a week where we lived among it. I admit, I was slightly concerned it wasn’t quite healthy. BUT, no one actually got sick or suffered any immediate consequences.

Theoretically, maybe- if your immune system were very suppressed such as severe AIDS, chemotherapy. But e are all exposed to mold very frequently and most everyone does fine without an underlying condition. signed, MD.
