Does anyone know if NBC4 still have that annoying ‘working for you’ catchphrase?
No, You don’t work for me, since I am not the one paying your wages.

I dropped the post because their metro section was pathetic. The same is true for WAMU- just look at DCist or WAMU and you'll notice a few well written stories and a few blurbs but no day to day news

Local radio is not limited to WAMU.

Where do you get your local news?

I watch Katzenjammer or whatever when there's a bad storm ever since he broke the Derecho story. Never forget.

Are you 80+? Not so much even an age thing--but do you watch Wheel of Fortune? Do you have a change purse? Do you write checks at the grocery store?

Sometimes. I have on News 4 early in the morning while I'm making coffee, tending to the dog, checking my phone etc.

Then I have the Today Show on.

Not since I was a kid.

That said, I also don't watch CNN, MSNBC, Fox, etc., except for something huge like 9/11 or a presidential inauguration.

It's all pretty low quality.

Same! Great morning team.

Switch to channel 4. WJLA is Sinclair-owned. Right-wing propaganda.

NP. It really is noticeable to me, especially compared to the other local news outlets.

I watch the local news maybe twice a week, always NBC4. On occasion, I’ll stick around afterwards to watch Lester Holt. I get most of my local news online and prefer BBC for all else.

If I get up early enough, Saturday and Sunday mornings. I usually watch about a half hour of it just to see what's going on locally. During the week, it's cable news.

This. Even then, I can find more up to date info online, so it’s more of a throwback reaction to the pre-internet times.
