I'm on the parent board for my kid's daycare and they'd have someone in there the next day.

If you want that space to be there when you return, you pay for it. Because if you leave, I'll fill that space because I need to be fully enrolled, with full tuition paid, to make by budget work!

OP, how much are you standing to lose that month? 2k? Think of what you have to lose if you gave up the spot. If you like the daycare just stick with the rules and pay.

As someone on multiple waitlists for my 15 month old I have to laugh. Go ahead…

Pay. Teachers need their paychecks and the school has rent/bills even when you’re gone.

Hahaha, you pay for the month or they replace your kid with someone else who pay for the month and beyond

If you don’t pay you lose your spot. It’s crystal clear. At my daycare you can withdraw and reapply but there’s a mile-long waitlist so your spot is as good as gone.
Don’t people like OP have any common sense?
