I was just looking at the capacity dashboard the other day as well as the capital improvement plan and I didn't notice any substantial shifts in any ES over/under-enrollment. So which school is this where everyone left - name it so we can go look at the dashboard.
Many have left Shrevewood. The school used to be over capacity. It's slightly under. It didn't help (or helped) that many left for Lemon Road because they got rid of the Local Level IV program.
Looks like Shrevewood had 793 kids in January 2019 and has 657 now. That's a fairly large drop, but maybe there are other elementary schools with similar enrollment losses.
In any event, it would seem like it was more Covid/program-related than related to dissatisfaction with the school. The current principal is much better liked than one of his predecessors.

Lol. I don’t have a dog in that fight and have no idea which schools feed into Marshall, but PP sounds awfully defensive!

It’s an entire country thing. Gen Ed is dumbed down, Honors is what gen Ed was years ago.

The only Marshall school that had overcrowding was Shrevewood. So probably them.

DP. It's possible that when schools closed a fair number of Marshall families tried to get into privates like Flint Hill or OLGC. In general, the GCM area isn't especially convenient to privates.
We thought the ES was great and the HS was good. However, one reason we ended up moving was to get away from Kilmer. I hope the new principal sticks around for more than a year or two and makes it a better place.
Was this for academic or other reasons? So far my kid (she's in AAP to be fair) seems to be getting solid academics. What were your concerns?
