They are pretty common, lots of Gen X women had multiple piercings back in the 80s and 90s.

Well mine closed in less than a year. So it’s possible they do.

Mid 50s, have had 2 holes in my ears since HS. Now wear diamond studs in the top hole, and lightweight earrings underneath.

Pretty multiple piercings were big for Gen X so it’s not surprising to see women in their 40s or 50s with them.
