Lake Forest and White Flint blend for me, I used to do typical teen things and just loiter for hours not buying anything. I miss that feeling. We used to cause some ruckus and run from security guards. Good times.

I grew up in PG county and to us this was the fancy mall compared to the offerings in PG. I worked at Borders in the late 90s during its heyday and as an employee there, the mall kind of lost its luster to me, but I still loved the faux flora in the lobby area and they had a pretty decent movie theater that always seemed less crowded than other ones in the area. Cheesecake Factory was THE place to eat for a more upscale meal when you were in college. The food court used to have a salad place that had the best basic salad. I'm not sure what dressing they used on it, but it was such a simple salad and they also served peanut butter and jelly sandwiches too.

Yep. My memories are from 2006-2011. I remember taking the kids to ride the train. I remember shopping at Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn kids. The kids enjoyed that glass elevator. I remember seeing one of the Toy Story movies in the movie theatre. I remember spending time at the Borders. Eating at the Bertucci's, PF Changs.

I wish I could experience that mall again.

Here's an extremely ice-cold blind item from 40 years ago lol... My dad worked at Saks Jandel in the early 80s and he said a certain local CBS anchor tried to return many a dress, very obviously worn. (And they may have let her, too, because publicity.)

I remember when they got an H&M and I would drive out there all the time just for that. I thought H&M was so novel.

I worked at Bloomingdale's during college breaks. You wouldn't believe how many Congressional and Cabinet spouses would try to return fancy dresses they'd worn to inaugural balls.

When I was very young, my family would go there on Friday nights as a special outing. I remember getting my own little pizza from Sbarro's and then we'd go to the Perfect Cup for chocolates.

As a teen, I remember sneaking into R-rated movies there. Definitely the fancy mall, until Montgomery Mall opened the Nordstrom wing in '92 or whenever that was.

In college, we used to go there to go to The Cheesecake Factory, which was all the rage at the time. When I had babies, it was a great place to walk around while they slept in the stroller. And we used to always go there to get Santa pictures-there was never a line.

Borders was a fun place to while away hours, with or without kids.

Bertucci’s was also a tried and true Italian restaurant.

And remember the giant horses outside the Chinese restaurant?

There was a makeup store in the middle on the ground floor. I think it was called Rainbow. Not sure.

It was a good mall in the 80's and 90's.

I remember going in the 90s and thought it was so fancy.
That was back when DC had almost no retail—I think right around when the Woody’s closed and I was able to take metro there which was so great.
I also remember going once in around 2014 when all the stores were closed except maybe lord and taylor and dave and busters and we let the kids just run up and down the empty mall hallway. It was a little creepy but also lots of fun for them and a good way to get exercise on a cold rainy day!
