You should confirm whether or not the connection is "legal" for that airline and airport. If it is not and the system let you buy it the airline should allow you to switch to a later connection without a fee. Do your research and then call them.

That is very tight because you will have to clear US Passport Control/Customs in Montreal. I am a bit shocked that that connection time is legal. I wouldn't feel comfortable with that connection being shorter than 90 minutes personally, unless you have Global Entry. Even then it's tight.
