Retirement can work out well though. I planned to work to 70, she planned to work to 55, so we'd be retiring together.

5 yes, but 10 years? No, unless you are older. There is a huge difference between a 20 year old woman and a 30 year old man, but not so much between a 50 year old woman and a 60 year old man.

I wanted to settle down and have kids young (for DC, ie not at 40) and all the men my age wouldn't have been ready for that for another 10 years. I met DH when I was 26 and he was 32 and his light was on. It worked out great for us.

For the life of me I can’t understand why old men think the string of women they’re casually banging without commitment is relevant to sex inside marriage. It’s like they have something to prove!

I have had long-term relationships in my 50s with frequent, excellent sex. I hoped one of those was going to turn into a marriage. Some women, even in their second marriage, enjoy sex with their husband.

Better universally? No. Can it work? Yes

Unless they aren’t, then you spend your golden girl years as an adult day care. Getting old can be very difficult on the healthy spouse.

Maybe b/c you usually date someone before marrying?

A man who makes it to 50 without knowing that sex drive before marriage is no indication of how frequently sex is had within marriage certainly is oblivious. But most 50 year olds do know that, they just reeeeally need us to know they still “got it” when it comes to younger women.

Even though younger, attractive female finds aging, balding, low tested middle age man disgusting and unattractive?

My T is still normal, as is my hair. I have dated women 30 years younger than me, and I was attractive enough that they O'ed a bunch.

LOL! No. Not really, troll.

If you are a woman who is looking to settle down, yes.

I have so many women friends who hit 30 and their long term boyfriend breaks up. They were expecting to get married and have kids soon, but then suddenly find themselves single and living with a roommate.
