My DD adhd daughter is in her first semester of college (good public OOS university.) The college acceptances were many, was accepted at Pitt, Rutgers, U of Delaware, and went to school at another one in that rank rage... Much to my discontent, she wrote her essay about her adhd. But I guess it worked. So acceptances weren't a problem BTW Went to MCPS large public, 3.3 gpa and above average SAT, all honors and ap.

As to how she is doing: she seems to spend a lot of time in her dorm (thanks Find My Friends). She does go to class. Unlike HS where I was constantly checking her grades, I have checked on nothing in college, only whether or not she goes to class, which i said she does. Will be intersting to see how grades are. She needs to keep 3.0 gpa to keep much needed merit scholarship.

I don't like the way she is in her room EVERY night and does not go out. She did join a dance team so she has made a few friends that way, so i guess i should be glad for that. She is slightly socially awkward, but has always had a small group of good friends. Sadly, i think the awkardness has gotten worse as she got older.

Sounds a lot like my 19 year old DD. It’s a sloooooowwww roll.

My DD with ADHD is a senior in college and will need an extra year to graduate. Honestly, it has been very challenging- big swings in grades and drops classes when they become too tough. She is about 4 hours from home so we see her about every 6 weeks to make sure things are going well- she has friends but many have come and gone.
