You can land right on the island from IAD and National. IF you book a couple weeks out it is typically around $220-275/pp RT.
For whatever reason when we booked it was well over 500/pp and the flight to savannah was only $120/pp. But that might not be typical.

We love Hilton Head, but for that mix of ages I’d recommend a Disney cruise. It’ll be far more relaxing and give everyone, including the adults and your teen, a variety of stuff to do both as a family and separately. They are divine.
