For whatever reason when we booked it was well over 500/pp and the flight to savannah was only $120/pp. But that might not be typical.
Dot the flight 20-30 times a year rarely is it anywhere close to $500.

We love Hilton Head, but for that mix of ages I’d recommend a Disney cruise. It’ll be far more relaxing and give everyone, including the adults and your teen, a variety of stuff to do both as a family and separately. They are divine.

We love Hilton Head, but for that mix of ages I’d recommend a Disney cruise. It’ll be far more relaxing and give everyone, including the adults and your teen, a variety of stuff to do both as a family and separately. They are divine.

I think it feels like there isn't much going on because of the architectural and signage restrictions. Because of this it isn't as in your face as other beach towns. But there is plenty to do.

It is 8 1/2 to 9 hours. Not really a long drive especially with 2 adults. Or you can just fly there.

We drove last year for spring break and saw tons of other cars driving down from the DC area. It was really crowded in the downtown but not bad farther out away from the main beach. I don’t know if it was worth the drive.

I love HH because it is very calming and quiet. Our kids have always enjoyed it but they love golfing, laying on the beach, swimming a bit or playing tennis. There isn't a huge night life. It definitely is "worth it" to me and I don't think it is any more or less expensive than other types of similar places.
