You realize that WE ALL benefitted from our grisly past. We are all benefiting right now-we exploit now .
But what did she do, singularly as queen to be called a serial killer?
I don’t know about you, but the Queen benefited a heck of a lot more from “our grisly past” than I have! She was literally one of the most privileged people in the world.
And you’ve not done your share of atoning for what you benefited.

I hesitate to waste energy posting because Jeff deleted many posts about this topic because of some 48 hour rule which prohibits any negative comments after a death (not clear if this rule applies to the death of terrorists and criminals?).

This. Kate and William were honestly shocked at the treatment they got when they went to the Caribbean. This tells us that they are out of touch with how problematic the Empire is/was. How could they be expected to be welcomed with open arms by countries where England subjugated and exploited the people?
We don't know if they were shocked. The press said that. The press has a field day, liking or hating the royal family, and literally invents new about them. They weren't likely shocked.

Not only is England still filled with the spoils and treasures of those they colonized, there has been no acknowledgment of the damage done to those colonized. There's been no reckoning.
I think they are supported by the British public, who pays them. Does the British owe the apologies for decisions in the past?
And what country does not have dirty baggage somewhere in it's past?

There are 193 countries in the world, only 43 of which are some type of monarchy.
Overwhelmingly the world does not crave monarchy.
