I would LOVE to hear more about what you think - does the workplace side of the show make sense to you? Does it ring true?

The music and the dialogue and the murmuring in the background of the workplace seems so formulaic and tired at this point. how many emergency financial situations can they save before it becomes repetitive?

+1
I have to keep the subtitles on so I can follow the conversations in the background. The most vile character is Eric, Harper's direct boss. After him would be Yasmin's boss, Conor (the guy with raging short man syndrome). This show makes me feel anxious, stressed, and upset - and still I watch it! Not a good feeling.

The major focus on sex is so unrealistic. Glad to hear it gets better in seasons 2 and 3, because I'm starting to just fast forward all of those scenes. It's just way, way too much.

You will come to like Eric and Conor more as the show goes on. I can't believe I'm saying that.

That was the first season. They calmed it down in S2 and its really only alluded to in S3 (but not actually shown). Typical HBO arc as the actors become more empowered with the network and the show runners become a bit more mature.

The writing in S3 has really leveled-up.

I find Myha'la Herrold to be extremely cold. I might think that's just her character in this show, but she was exactly the same way in "Leave the World Behind."

Figures Lena Dunham is involved. They really don’t need THAT much graphic sex. It’s become absurd. Finished both seasons.

+1
I've only watched the first episode and it all became clear when I saw in the credits that she is the director. Not sure if I should plan to continue.

My husband watches this show and loves it. I find it just too hard core, not just the sex, the relentless greed and trickery. It is soulless and depressing to me.

Is this series more graphic than GoT? (asking for a friend)

I don't see any reason we won't finish watching it except the whole show makes me feel stressed out and uncomfortable.

I agree!

I’ve been trying to watch Season 1 but I think I’m just too damn old (57). I barely understand the dialog and find nearly all the characters irritating.
