both of these are good for us "more mature" women. The secret is to try and match the color of your gums, so mauves often work.

Know if you look good in coral or berry. Go in either direction. And know if you look good in true red.

But why wouldn't you go directly to a store and look at the color? Makes better sense. Hold it up to your hand, if necessary, to see if it looks good re: skin tone.

Go to Ulta or Sephora website and use the TRY ON feature. In store they can give you a sample to take home.

I am middle aged and not the demographic that watches makeup gurus on YouTube. But when I was trying to buy lipstick and sampling was limited BC of covid, I'd search say Mac lipstick review on yt and find a beauty guru with my similar skin tone. I must have watched a dozen Swatch videos before I found my Mac! Kinda Sexy btw. My lips but better.
