no it isn’t. Both are community responsibilities. It is something that has been done since I was in school in the dark ages of the 1970’s. Local community events are places where people who want to represent their constituents can actually meet their constituents.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I thought it was really strange that the Democratic party was there handing out fliers at BTS night. I refuse to take any fliers from any political party. This year was de D, last year the R were at the ES. It’s inappropriate.
I mean it’s inappropriate to hand political propaganda at school events.
we have had both parties at our BTS nights for decades.Anonymous wrote:I thought it was really strange that the Democratic party was there handing out fliers at BTS night. I didn’t see any Republicans or independents. Are these always handing out political propaganda at school events?

And it's legal, and no one is going to force anyone to take a flyer. Just like on election days, if you don't want to engage, please keep walking. No one will tackle you.
It's not the school board elections that really bring them (both parties) there, folks. It's the bigger picture--the upcoming VA elections, to elect all 11 of our Representatives to Congress. These days, whichever way you vote, it's a pretty important election, so getting the word out is important. And again, legal to do at BTSNs.
Who exactly made this legal?

And ours was in person!
I was expecting a paper that said where the kids classrooms were and was surprised to find it was a brochure on how much the Democratic party supports teachers and school funding.
The current 12-0 Democratic School Board pays next to no attention to enrollment trends or sound facilities planning. They’re a bunch of useless political hacks already aiming for other offices (like Karl Frisch) and need to be voted out next year.

I laughed in a guy's face when I saw his flier.
