Is it swinging really high and then jumping off the swing midair? I’m a mom, but I love doing that. I’d never use a swing if there weren’t enough for all the children who want to swing, though.

If it's a childish "trick / joke" on you or a child, then that is really immature and embarrassing for dh and everyone around him.

If he's just fooling around with equipment at park or doing a trick gymnastics manuver or something, then that's fine.

I think of a "trick" on someone as a "joke" to make them look foolish, not some sort of physical thing (like a cartwheel or something).

It totally depends on what it is.

My dh can be silly with the kids. I love it. I'm very attracted to humor.

Honestly this sounds great. I vote "get over yourself."

OMG this is what dads do. They are childish and silly with their kids. They also tell lame jokes. Let it go.

A parent doing a childish joke or trick when with their kids seems...totally fine to me? Unless it's hurting someone or likely to offend others or is somehow inappropriate for the location, so what? If the kids find it embarrassing, they will tell him. If they think it's funny or don't mind, then it's fine.
