You can get a used 18 or 19 BMW 3-Series for just under $30k.

trim package? You sound like my 70YO retired neighbor... No matter what you add to a Camry...it stays the same. Reliable vehicle, but luxury?

It's going to be tough to do that with 32k. In the DC area, luxury cars are very common. It's probably easier to go esoteric rather than luxury if you want something unique - think a Mini, or an Alfa Romeo. But these cars have their own quirks - they are less popular for a reason. If you buy a used Lexus like others have recommended, it will not at all be unique.

It's definitely not!

Hondas and Acuras share many of the same components. They’re built on shared platforms. For many years some vehicle models marketed as an Acura in the US were sold as Hondas elsewhere. The brand is exclusive to N America.

Can't help you at that price point.

I mean, maybe a very old MB SUV.

Get something like a Mazda CX30 or Subaru Crosstrek because your needs are fairly utilitarian. A Q3 isn’t really “luxury.” But if youre determined maybe check out a GLA or XC40.

not Luxury but we bought two used KIAs and they have been flawless performers - and that's the only thing I care about in a car.

The same could be said for Lexus, Infiniti, Audi, Cadillac. I’m sure my neighbor in her $80k Suburban thinks she drives a luxury car even though it’s a Chevy.

A luxury car is called luxury car not only because of the luxury features, but rather because of the brand and prestige.
Many ordinary cars have the same features as luxury cars, but that doesn't make them luxury. You can put as many luxury features as you want in a Honda or Toyota, but that wouldn't make them luxury. Just like many handbags with unrecognizable names use better materials or features than Hermes, Chanel or Gucci, but they will never be considered luxury.
There are only a handful of luxury car brands and we all know who they are.

Get her a Mitsubishi.
