I'm currently going through it.

Ginger tea
a tsp of honey (for sore throat)
oatmeal
roasted potatoes
fruit

I really can't taste anything, and I'm not sure I currently care either. But I would be so grateful not to cook. Any foods that don't require a lot of effort to reheat or keep would be great.

I would be upset if I ran out of real ginger though. It has helped me the most.

If they are in or near DC, Prescription Chicken matzo ball soup is great. Maybe get some extra broth to dilute it a bit. They also sell it at White Foods but the WF version is not as good.

Plastic tub of Trader Joe’s chicken soup. It is usually in the fruits and veggies aisle

Fruit. Especially soft watery fruit like grapes and watermelon. Nothing crunch when you have a headache. Banana.
Also avocado. Bone broth. And a gazillion water bottles.
This was while I was sick sick. Afterwards, my apetite returned but still craving super clean foods.

Lots of ice cubes and ice pops. My neighbor made miso soup for me which hit the spot. Also chugged gallons of Gatorade to stay hydrated.
