Aww I love this. Your child is having a great experience at preschool. I know it's frustrating when they aren't getting to sleep when you need them to, but this will be a lovely memory for you.

My sister is experiencing this with her 3.5 year old, and there's a 4 month old in the mix too. I sent her alink and she texted me to ask this question for her (because she is too tired to post):

What do you do after the really cute and sweet HOUR of processing is over and then child gets out of bed, wants to watch tv, has to pee, is thirsty, is yelling downstairs, wants to give you a hug, wants to give you a kiss, yells that she loves you, won’t get back in bed, then once you abort your plans to watch one 45-min tv show and go upstairs to bed at 915, she begins running around into every bedroom, potentially waking up 4-mo old, not listening? What do you do then?

The thing is I have zero credibility on this issue. My DH and I never figured it out and our kids held us hostage for years - we would stay in their room until they fell asleep because we never got past this stage.

This is so sweet. Make videos. Mine sometimes does the same. Yesterday she made up a song about lemurs in a mango tree.

Also agree that it is not a problem and is adorable. But it may also be a sign that she is not tired at bedtime. Is she still napping? When it took my daughter longer and longer to fall asleep at night (and she similarly would talk/sing to herself for a long time), we cut out her nap. She falls asleep much more quickly now.

My three year old does this! Love the idea to record it.

to another poster-- yes, was concerned about her getting sleep but that's a fair point that she doesn't need as much sleep now. It's when it gets super loud is when I also get concerned but it's good to know it's a phase.
I will be sure to record it for sure!

Sounds like she is processing her day. I would let it go (at a reasonable volume) unless you feel it is going on so long it is preventing her from getting a good amount of sleep. We used to let our boys who share a room chat for about 15 minutes after getting in bed before announcing that it was quiet time.

My older one does this. The only time I tell him to knock it off is when he is singing so loud he keeps his baby brother awake. But I always thought it was cute and a good way to wind down.
