It is a bar, very inexpensive, and is the only things that takes out dirt and grass stains (including on white baseball pants). You dampen the stained area, grind in the soap. You can wash right then or it ca wait until you have a full load. Game changer for me.

I have found that spraying stains with Oxyclean, breaks up most of the stains and even if they sit for a few days and dry out, the stains come out in the regular wash.
