I wish that the school would inform parents of trips with more advanced notice for planning and budget purposes especially with multiple kids.

You should be asking who exactly would be responsible for their safety? And how well do you know and trust them?
Getting high, alcohol and hooking up should be your concern, even if your kid seems immune to such things.
