We got DD’s portraits taken a few months ago. They look good, but her hair is a bit frizzy looking (it was a rainy humid summer day) and I’m wondering if the Prestige premium retouching would take care of that. I called them a few months ago to ask and was told it would be $60 extra per picture because premium retouching won’t take care of frizzy hair so when we were ready to order we need to call back to tell them exactly which ones we wanted retouched. So I tried that this morning and the guy I spoke to sounded like he had no idea what he was talking about and just agreed with whatever I asked. According to him, premium retouching will cover frizzy hair and I can just place the order on their website.

Anyone have any experience having to add extra retouching? Anyone with a frizzy haired kid? I don’t want to pay hundreds of dollars for pictures just to get mediocre ones but also don’t want to pay extra if it isn’t necessary.

They don’t drop prices. I think you have of time to order. We got a “reminder” every couple of weeks last year all the way through spring.

I cannot believe the tucedro thing! So dumb. We did not do that at my public high school. And in college we made fun of all the people with tuxes in their Facebook picture (the original FB). Who made that rule?

I told my kid to do what they wanted but to maybe do 3 outfits so she could do her varsity sports uniform, and a dress if she wanted. My mom always had our senior portraits framed. It’s really the last time you get a good professional shot of your kid!

The photographer provides the v shape drape

for my QOHS graduation picture circa 1990, it was this weird drape that was somehow affixed in the back and I had to pull on the front to achieve the V. I am surprised it did not come flying off or I did not flash anyone in the whole process. and my other outfit was a gunnie sax dress.

My kid does not want to wear a tux or a drape. Is a black shirt an option at all schools?

When do people usually buy senior portraits? I’ve been waiting for a few months since the pics were taken to see if Prestige will drop prices but don’t want to wait too long.

We did multiple outfits, the tux drape, the grad robe are part of basic, we added a casual outfit (khakis and blue button-down), and a sports one (wore his uniform, they had a ball)

I can’t believe schools are still doing these fake drape photos! The best part of looking at an old yearbook is laughing at the clothing and hairstyles from your high school days.
