I think it's a little too sweet but it actually tastes like a cinnamon roll. I'm interested in their sorbet but haven't seen it.

It's quirky! The best store bought is the one with the fewest ingredients, by the brand who perfected high-end store bought ice cream.

We visited the Bathesda store last week. It was very good. I liked the the peanut butter with chocolate flakes and darkest chocolate.

I want to try the watermelon taffy so bad but haven't seen it anywhere. I looked online though and they will ship their ice cream.

HD has their consistency down to a science. It’s always perfect. Jeni’s is hit or miss in my experience.

Totally disagree. HD vanilla bean is a classic — and the standard bearer for a reason. And it’s half the price of Jeni’s. I’ll buy the Jeni’s cherry goat cheese once or twice a year. But other than that, we are faithful to HD vanilla bean.

Agree on it being too sweet. A family member who loves it took me and they kept asking how I liked it and I said it was great but secretly nope. Way too sweet.

Its just very creamy and very sweet, so it balances out.

I am stuck on the butter crunch brittle or whatever it's call. It's the devil. Can't even try anything else. And, they sell it in Giant, and Target and you name it now. Have not had it from the ice cream store itself.

Even the simple milk chocolate flavor lingers in my memory - it just melts differently than other brands of ice cream, I can't explain it.

This really sounds like a publicity thread but I have been thinking about going back soon (Old Town). Nervous to branch out for other flavors, some of them sound strange. But the lavender one sounds tempting.
