+1 for JW MS. PE handout states that uniforms or at least change of clothes are required. Based on DS's experience, no one changes and "where would we change anyway, as there no locker room access because somebody got busted for dealing drugs from PE locker room". I bought a set of clothes in required colors just in case. DS does have deodorant in his locker for after PE.

They make a big deal about no phones in locker rooms but I’m not sure they have the capacity to police it. And honestly what PE teacher wants to be in there with a bunch of naked tweens enforcing behavioral policies? A lot of the PE teachers when I grew up were actually pretty creepy about it.

They discourage students from changing in the locker rooms because they can't monitor what goes on in there.

At orientation they said they recommend but don’t require leaving deodorant in your gym locker. That’s it.

We’re at NB and both my kids say they’ve never seen anyone change. I had a lot of angst trying to find the right clothes for the requirements for the oldest one!

My oldest did not change for PE even once in 3 years at TPMS. Apparently, only the students who were in sports teams ever bothered to change. There were apparently few in DC's class. DC brought deodorant to school, but rarely used it.

At our middle school the PE uniform money funds the PE department, not the PTA. PE tries to restrict PTA from selling spirit wear otherwise.

Depends on the school. I had kids at two different MS. One required kids to change and other didn't. Neither required uniform

No, not required. My kid just took a change of clothes. Uniform was not necessary. She said nobody wore the uniform.
