I looked at it today and closed it without understanding when the kids need to be at school. I will leave it up to the kids to tell me when they need to stay home. Could not figure it out either.

I printed out the one page version and I’m grateful

Calendars change all the time so no biggie for us. The basic framework is enough for us to plan. I've seen some school calendars that were cringe worthy-5+ colors, crazy explanations, etc. Had to stop syncing because it killed my real calendar.

This is an awful change, OP. I’m now glad I sat down last month and transferred all the important dates from the old calendar into a paper planner so I don’t have to look at this thing. I hope they switch back— I actually found the old version really easy to follow once I acclimated to the layout. It was a very efficient way to communicate a lot of relevant info.

And it’s even more stupid in this situation. DCPCS families can always just go to their IB but DCPS families can’t easily do the opposite. Charters have a safety net - DCPS. Unless you just want to open your charter enrollment after count day for a bunch of new students from DCPS whose IB keeps their funding? No, didn’t think so.
