Wheaton is a project-lead-the-way school (one of the top schools like this in the country) and has a different teaching approach than Blair. It is very hands-on learning, whereas Blair is more traditional. So depends on how your child likes to learn. Wheaton worked great for DS, who is very research oriented. He got to know the teachers really well, especially his mentor for legacy project Senior year. There are student presentations of these and many were super impressive.

As of last year, you could apply easily to both on a common app. But with all the info sessions being virtual, it was harder to get a feel for the schools. Hopefully they will return to in-person events.

That would be fine but I hope they keep the virtual option too since were still in the middle of a global pandemic.
