If you do, I can consider a couple MI schools for my child, and that would make me happy.
yea I'm not sending my kids to any state that bans abortion after the witch hunt I've seen coming out of those states for women/girls who are seeking abortion outside of those states, whether it's due to rape or medical reasons. No one thinks that they will need abortion until they do. Not risking it. There are several good universities in states that don't try to tread on me and my kids.
oh, I'm 100% with youActually, my daughter and I just had a conversation today around her GYN visit. She said something to me about a period tracker on her phone and I told her that while she's OK for now, if VA (our home state) decides to go crazy, she will need to delete that app. She was horrified when I explained why. We were there to remove an IUD that was placed last year due to horrible monthly cramps (her body just didn't deal well with it). We're getting her another longer acting birth control (again, for cramps, the birth control is secondary) that hopefully will be better for her. I need to make sure she is as protected as possible, but not having abortion ban states on her college list is definitely a good thing.
Hell, I even got crazy and started to look at the schools with her prospective major in KS after they voted![]()
Right now, though, her top options are in VA, NC, PA, NJ, RI and MA. I know I have to watch a couple of those VERY closely, but as of right now, we should be OK. There is one option in IL, but we likely won't actually go out there. Nothing further west really works. There are 2 options in Toronto if the worst happens for the country.

Worthless comment without a source/link.

Apparently yes.
So they were content with everything else trump and conservatives did just upset about abortion? Does not seem like these people will be very reliable.
There's a difference between content and motivated to go out and vote. They've been fed a line for years about how Republicans and Democrats are both equally terrible and somehow bought it mostly out of lazinesss.
Now they see the reality because of Roe V Wade. I suspect "these people" (condescending bulls---) may in fact be motivated and have gained a bit of clarity.
Call me cynical. If they are okay with Trump they are okay with RvW being overturned.
That is not the case with the R women I know. They are shocked that Roe was overturned.
I would love to listen in on a focus group of R women sometime. When Ds heard Kav and ACB during their confirmation hearings, we KNEW they were there to overturn Roe and it's exactly what they would do. I would love to hear from R women about what they actually heard and believed there. I find it astonishing that anyone could have come away thinking that Roe was safe with these two on the bench!
Susan Collins has some choice quotes about this.

Republican women like to think of themselves as people and thought their party felt the same way. They bought all the lines about feminazis and all that and thought that they’d be able to choose their own lives and also serve the patriarchy. Surprise! Women aren’t people in the GOP!
