I recommend Washington Diamond in Falls Church, VA.

They are a small store with good customer service. They do not pressure you or make you feel rushed. They can work with you if you want a specific setting and even one that you purchase elsewhere. I'd suggest doing some reading about diamonds (quality, cut, clarity, etc.) so that you walk in a bit educated. It is so helpful.

I just dropped mine at a jeweler in Boston. After 33 years, my joints have swollen and my rings won't fit over them. About $80 for white gold.

Ive had my eternity band resized twice. They just ground out the inside. 17 years later And it's great. Estate platinum Art Deco.

If you're thinking about CZ, i'd encourage you to look at moissanite as well. Moissanite is harder on the mohs scale and will be less likely to chip/get cloudy/show wear. It has really beautiful sparkle.
