Lol that is not how it’s done. Take a page from how we got here. Only post the job at Howard, U street, in the east of the county or hire a friend.

I have no issue with equity as a goal. I have a lot of issues with how Montgomery County is trying to achieve that. They are specifically "centering" and "elevating" people of color, which doesn't really facilitate buy in from whites, who are still the majority in positions of power. Contrast it to Fairfax County's One Fairfax program, that emphasizes how equity as a goal helps everyone benefit. It's a much more collaborative process with more positive goals and outcomes.

Some may think this is a distinction without a difference. But I think it's a very significant difference in approach. And I think Fairfax will be successful where Montgomery County causes even more harm.
