It's a no from me, dawg.
I was duped by GenX and Boomers into these loans. I was promised that the opportunities after college would be worth the loans taken out. Then y'all fked the economy in '08 when I graduated and left me and thousands of others like me unable to find employment. I was a 22 year old competing with 40 year olds for entry level positions because everyone was just trying to find a job, even if that meant switching careers.
I'll probably never own a home. I make a good salary now, but it took me years to get there. All my extra money is going into my 401k and IRA not to my loan servicer. Fk them. They'll get their itty bitty payment each month and that's it.
I have many friends who are in the same boat with the same feelings. They make minimum payments and when times are hard, student loan payments are the first thing skipped. We don't give a fk about paying back shit.

You were 22 and competing with 40 year olds for jobs?
Geeez, that’s just terrible, Skyler. How awful. All those employers didn’t realize that you were a unique, special snowflake and they should’ve taken that into account and created a job JUST for you! The nerve!!!!
And as a 22 year old, didn’t all these companies realize how much smarter and more savvy you were than people 20 years older than you?!?!
You get F in reading comprehension. She is saying it is terrible that the 20 year old and 40 year old are competing for entry level positions. Late stage capitalism.

Do they plan to tell people they are forgiving loans at gunpoint?

That doesn’t sound like student loan forgiveness

Anonymous wrote:No. The IRS has been understaffed for years. They’re trying to hire for that and clear the backlog of other stuff…
