I've had good luck with the Visionworks near Tysons. Good selection, reasonable prices, take VSP.
I'm always surprised that people are able to buy glasses online. I feel like frames looks so different in person.

I also order a lot of glasses online from Zenni.

However, the best lenses I have gotten lately, shockingly, have been from WalMart Optical (I'm not in NOVA anymore). I also got a really cute pair of frames there. The vision care experts at our Walmart's optical center are amazing. They picked out great styles for people, had tons of options, and they fit great. If you don't wear glasses all the time and just need a backup pair it might be worth a shot going there.

People also rave about Costco for glasses, but I don't have a membership.

Bethesda Vision Care on East-West Highway in Bethesda has an amazing selection of frames but it is more expensive than chain stores. They give you lots of personalized attention, though. It’s worth it for that. They take VSP. Gary is the best optician I have ever seen. He will show you frames that will look great on you.

That is why I walk into a Warby Parker store. They have more options than pretty much anyone else.

My glasses are very complicated. I have to order from a store and try them on. Many times they have to be redone.

So many great online places. Zenni, even 39.95glasses.com (or something like that). Just Google online glasses. Family of 5 that all wear glasses, and all purchased online. Esp good when the kid's are young and break them frequently.

FWIW, most glasse are made/manufactured in one of a couple of labs across the US, so it really doesn't matter where you order them from, they are all coming from the same places. You just pay more for the overheads at a brick and mortar store v buying online

Warby Parker has a great selection of narrow frames. You can try them on in the store or have them send a selection to try at home.

You can measure your current specs and put those measurements the filter for online sites. It works pretty well.
