Nevermind the wealth and privilege, barring any dysfunctional family issues, girls just tend to be closer to their own families and this includes their soose and kids. That must be hard for pish who is used to being #1 mom. At least she has harper. As someone with a son, I actually feel for her.

+1. My most self-absorbed cousin was always posting about my grandma on IG even though she barely saw her. She would post other people's old pics with "omg ILYSM!" captions when my grandma didn't even have a cell phone, let alone insta. It was totally performative and about her, bc she thought being close with her 90yo grandma was cute
