The last 4 years have not been good for my family due to Elrichs’ policies. There is no way we are voting for him this year. Besides the mismanagement of the budget (do your research people, it’s our tax $$ wasted), we were victims of crimes 3x and police did not respond for 45 minutes to an hour. I don’t care if Sully is an R, I like his platform and we desperately need someone to balance the uber progressive council. The same council that creates problems that don’t exist, use your hard earned dollars for their silly, useless pet projects…all while crime is skyrocketing, and waste so much money with absolutely no oversight. Do your research people, attend council meetings, read the local news! You will be blown away as to what is happening behind closed doors. With prices skyrocketing people are only going to get more desperate esp. since the only jobs available in this county are service related projects r mom and pop office.

“Have you looked at the Montgomery County budget?

There are almost 2,000 unnamed vendors in the County budget. The total disbursed to those vendors total over $168 million.

Almost 300 vendors received over $50,000; 40 of them received over $1 million in disbursements and one vendor, identified only as 1803092593, received a single disbursement of over $1 million.

When questioned about who got the disbursements, we were told in writing that the vendor names are scrambled by each department and they don’t want the names disclosed. This is not acceptable. We need to know where our money is going.

Examine the budget for yourself: https://apps.montgomerycountymd.gov/BASISOPERATING/Common/Index.aspx”

Calling myself. I guess I’m just asking what reason is there to have anonymous vendors on the budget? 168 million is a huge amount of money.

Follow up question. If you voted for Blair, would you consider voting for Sullivan or with you just go along and vote for Elrich?

NO. No repub for MoCo

Then you can’t complain about anything.

Didn't he get disbarred? I mean I guess he can technically still run for office but I imagine even he realizes it's a fool's errand.

He did get disbarred and still ran for office, this time it was for Governor and he lost.

Same here for first and third sentences. Going to skip voting in that race in the fall, though.

Depends if someone good runs as an Indepedent.

There’s no way anyone gets in as an independent after a primary that was this late. Four years ago it was mid-June.

Even with a known quantity like Floreen, she got trounced in the general as an independent. Elrich won a higher percentage of the vote than Leggett did in the general and Floreen just split the Republican vote with Ficker.

If you don’t care about public safety and enjoy crime, vote Elrich.

It’s the YIMBY echo chamber. White professionals between 35 and 45 in Silver Spring and Takoma Park. They believe that density and zoning is the answer to everything. They cite each other’s white papers and think pieces and pat each other on the back “The answer to your problem is to build more density near transit YUP YUP YUP” nodding their heads in unison. These people strongly supported Hans and provided Hans the feedback loop for his ego.

Basically this. It’s the people who believe “this one counterintuitive trick” type analysis for problem solving. Despite their professed NIMBYism, they also liked Riemer’s message of prioritizing 355 (and not Georgia Ave) for density because it’s not their backyard.

I did vote for Blair because of public safety.

I will vote for Sully.

I haven't voted Republican since 2000.

+1
My #1 issue is public safety. Between Elrich and Sullivan, I know Sullivan is the better choice. Plus, he can balance the very progressive council. I have only voted for one Republican - Hogan.
