I saw an adorable dog at a farmer's market pee on a box of onions. No one else seemed to notice. So incredibly nasty to think someone bought those onions to eat.

Dogs in grocery stores are fine. Dogs everywhere are fine. They're mammals. We're mammals. We're no better.

I brought my cat to the grocery store once. I was bringing her home from the vet (nothing gross) and she was in a carrier that looked like a gym bag. I dashed in, grabbed dinner, and was out of there in under 5 minutes. I can admit this anonymously. My husband was horrified.

People are always saying this, but I have yet to be bitten by a person.

The niceness of dogs is dependent entirely on how well they're trained and people who take their dogs into stores tend to be the type of people who also don't train their dogs.

There's a restaurant in Annandale where you can have dog on the menu. UTR of course.

I'm a dog lover. I prefer dogs over people any day. But I can see why others, who are not dog lovers, would not want them in the public spaces we all have to share. Especially grocery stores. Even as a dog lover, that's just gross.
