This is a good point. They create a system and don’t use it and instead post updated to a private app that few people use.
They used Twitter because they needed to contact people who typically don't vote.

I believe you are correct. The status will eventually change, but the official transfer to the state hasn't happened as of Saturday (yesterday). I think this transfer is part of the process to make a vote "count."
