The very large plant has been there for 2 months and I haven’t smelled a thing. Should I by now? It’s about 7 feet tall it just appeared in may.

Also note that it only smells bed when it flowers.
Can't you grow some pine trees as a buffer or fragrant Lilian byshes or a crepe myrtle that flowers several times along the fence line?
