I actually hope my black son stops growing. I don’t need him getting shot because he looks menacing. He’s currently 99 percent for height.

I think they mostly tracked their percentiles, more or less. Not exactly, but in that range.

Op cares, I care, and so does most of society. No one said anything about neglecting mental and physical health. Short people will say they don't care because two vertically challenged parents create a hopeless situation for their offspring, so I agree that it's best not to overthink it. However, for the rest of us, we question it because we know (as do you) that height matters in the workforce, mating, and other areas, particularly for men.

My daughter was always 90 percentile plus and often 95 percentile plus. She is now 12 and at least 67.5 inches (haven’t measured in a while) so still tracking that percentile.

Height predictors from parents’ height came to 67.5 inches. She’s gotten her period so this may be her final height or close to it.

So curious about this. My toddler has always been 98 plus for height, which would put him over 6 feet but I’m just 5’5 and DH is 5’11

My kids are grown and I never knew there were online calculators to check. Their dad is 6’1 and I’m 5’6. The calculator range was accurate for all my kids.

My middle son who weighed the most at birth is the tallest by 2-3 inches.

DD #1 was always high-90s percentage for height as a baby/toddler. Is 5'4" at 24.

DD #2 was always low-80s percentage for height as a baby/toddler. She's 5'9" at 21.

My DS was always around 50th percentile. Pediatrician predicted he would be about 5'9. He's between 5'9 and 5'10 at 21, and has not grown since he was 16. I think this makes him close to average for a US adult male (but too short by DCUM standards).

DD was always a little below 50th percentile and is 5'3 or a little shorter.

I'm 5"4 and DH is 5"8.

Look up “ regression to the mean”

My DS is projected to be 6’6” and has always been off the growth chart for height since an infant. Now a pre-teen and taller than almost all peers. DH and I are tall but not that tall.
