Latin never unmasked last year. If you are a new family, just be aware. They also required two masks for much of a pandemic. Community Transmission was low. Masks or vaccines? Who knows.

Ah yes because they predicted a highly contagious variation. And closing schools helped adults, not kids. Masking helps to a degree.

If it's theater why would it keep kids in school? If it is theater it doesn't work, ergo doesn't keep people from getting sick.

Is there some other reason why theater would keep kids in school? Teachers quitting because they want masks?

I would normally be described as pretty far to the let it go side. But, my kids went from a mandatory indoor masking charter to whatever you want summer camps. They haven't gotten Covid but after almost 3 years with minimal illness, have been sick and sick and sick again. With some gross stuff we haven't seen in years. Maybe it means we should be unmasking and letting their immune systems get back to work? But, I miss the lack of sick days.

Both of our children got Covid at their Charter school this past year that required masks, weekly testing and pods…all year long. Both kids…different times…not going anywhere but to/from school and home. Masks need to be optional. Period. From the very beginning of this pandemic, it was never a question of “if” but “when” we’d all get Covid. We need to move on in life. Especially the kids!!!

It’s because kids are not masking well. I’m a teacher in another school division and many of my students pull down there cute little kn95 when they talk to people.

And it doesn't work in situations where everyone eats indoors unmasked. Masks work very well, if they're worn consistently.
