Flew to Italy on United in May, basic economy. Pillows and blankets were on every other seat. So... you got one or the other. Unless someone got there first and took yours.

I flew overnight dc-Lisbon 2.5 weeks ago and no pillows/blankets but i gave goody bags to all the staff and i ended up being given a 1st class huge blanket during the flight 😬
