Capital Grille - One of the best, maybe my favorite, for the opposite reason. It’s quiet, the ambiance hits, top notch service, the piece of meat itself and virtually all sides are top tier. Only downside: The iPad wine list is embarrassing.
Great guide. Is the wine list embarrassing due to the selection, or because it' on an iPad?
NP Capital Grille gets my vote too. Technically just over the line in Chevy Chase MD. The selection is fine, less great for half bottles, but the iPad wine menu is clunky. DC proper my vote goes to Del Friscos. But Cap Grille wins overall

I was coming here to say the same thing. We had a stellar steak dinner at St. Anselm last weekend, preceded by cocktails at O-ku right down the street. It was a nice night out with zero disappointments.
St. Anselm was our #1 most disappointing meal of 2022. Steak was underwhelming and some of the sides were downright gross. Wanted to live it but would never go back.
