Drink at least 2x as much water as usual and maybe something like Gatorade

My peloton is out of commission at the moment awaiting a repair so I've taken my exercise outside to run. ugh. bad timing. I can only go in the evenings.

Some of y'all have good heat tolerances. I would feel more comfortable running in a polar vortex every day, than summer here.

I run in shorts and a sports bra in the shade, and it's still disgusting and miserable.

Swam laps for an hour this morning and it was great.

Yes, this is where I run. The shade makes a big difference. I go around 8 am. It’s hot but I’m acclimated from running there year round.

I was running my usual 4 mile loop at 7am, shady, overcast, but wore moisture-wicking/cooling t shirt.

It actually wasn't that bad this morning.

My pace is slower in the summer, sure, but the early morning run is still doable (and I feel too off if I don't run) and there isn't a good excuse to not go. Don't fall into that trap.

Just drink some electrolytes first and wear a hat and sunscreen, stick to shaded routes if the suns up already.

I still go running. I wear sports bra & shorts. It sucks but I just go slow and take lots of breaks. But yes, this morning was absolutely gross (NYC). I was actually hoping it would start raining to cool me off but only got a quick drizzle.

Just back from a brisk walk. I’m not a runner, but just before dark seems to be the best time for me. I was still a sweaty mess, though. Later this week I might have to get on the treadmill, though.

I take two outdoor water exercise classes on the weekends.

Here in DC, with our well under 100 degree weather, is pretty comfortable for many people. I acclimatize to about 97 and humid pretty quickly. (Luckily this year we haven't been up there.) Not to say some don't struggle and it can be real but we aren't having the kind of weather you need to harangue your husband over.

I just can’t. I was out in the garden for 30 mins today and couldn’t see from all the sweat in my eyes.

I walked my dog in the woods for an hour this and from 645/745, it’s all shade and there’s a creek for him to cool off in and get a drink. Knowing I can come home and take a shower is the only thing that makes it bearable

Hydrate or die-drate.
