The rest of it surely matters though, all of it. And that is why the democrats need a MUCH better "apparatus" than we currently have. Our campaign strategy/positioning mechanism is terrible.

I'd do whatever I could to support him.

No one outside of the DMV has ever heard of him. The House is not a launching pad for future presidents.
