I think this will eventually be the upshot of the overturn. Mature women will limit their families even more, so they can take care of their existing children.
Women and girls who don't have a choice (rape, domestic abuse) will be forced to have babies, particularly poor women.

That's the problem with an exception like this. How long do you have to wait until the mother's health is in danger? How long is a doctor LIKELY to wait, to make sure it's beyond a shadow of a doubt to a jury of non-medical people in case they get charged after the fact? At that point, you are likely to wait longer, and let the mother get sicker so that you reduce your liability that a pro-birth nurse or colleague won't report you.
If the exception is that the mother's life has to be in danger, doctors will wait even longer, for fear of prosecution. They won't just say, "This is an ectopic pregnancy, her life will be in danger at some point so we'll just remove it." They will wait until the woman's life is in IMMEDIATE danger, which means letting things drag on until the situation is dire and the woman may not physically cover 100% of her health.
And let's not mince words that when you let women get sicker than they have to, so that if someone brings you up in violation of an anti-abortion law that you can defend your decision to a jury, they may very well have lifelong damage even if they don't die. For example, if you have bled so much that you require multiple transfusions, your heart and other organs can be permanently damaged.

Republicans don’t have slutty sex so they won’t ever have a miscarriage. DUH. Science.
+1. Only dirty, dirty sluts could ever need an abortion. That’s what the mentality boils down to. And dirty, dirty sluts deserve what they get.
That pretty much what every one of my evangelical female friends thinks, even though one is a nurseIf you aren't "holy" you have to pay the price. And, if you have a miscarriage, you must not be right with God. Or something.

It won’t just be raped 10 year olds bearing children that will kill them and the sluts the forced birthers hope to punish, it will be regular adult women who were trying to have kids whose lives will be changed forever.

“We physically watched her get sicker and sicker and sicker” until the fetal heartbeat stopped the next day, “and then we could intervene,” he said. The patient developed complications, required surgery, lost multiple liters of blood and had to be put on a breathing machine “all because we were essentially 24 hours behind.’’
This is what the misogynist GOP wants across the country. Think of dying, terribly, from sepsis that even modern antibiotics can’t touch, on a breathing machine, leaving your children without a mother and your husband a widower because in the GOP women aren’t people, but an embryo is. Unreal that there’s anyone still willing to defend nauseating and cruel politics of hatred of women.

DP. The PP is able to write in a tone that most people recognize as being sarcastic.
