I work out or my car and probably put 35000 miles a year, delayed for a couple of years, but time is money and the time spent charging along with the inconvenience currently of charging stations keep me from switching. It is not from 10 years ago, it is today and there are still many hotels without charging stations or if they have them, they don’t have enough. Time is money and I just don’t have enough time to wait for an 80% charge when on the road.

Technically it’s a “motor” if powered by electricity.

I'm always very late when it comes to getting "new" technology. I was still using a regular flip phone while friends of mine were on their second smart phones and still had a VHS player hooked to my TV years after DVD players were in use.

It will be years before I buy an EV. I'm looking to buy another vehicle later this year and it will be a gas vehicle.

We priced how much it would take to install a charging outlet in our old house. It was a whole lot. We won't be getting one until we can afford to do that and until there is better charging infrastructure.

We drive our non Tesla EV up and down the east coast all the time. The naysayers saying that they would buy but for the infrastructure are ten years out of step. You can road trip in them anywhere. Two weeks ago we went DC to Naples FL. Super easy and getting better. Just don't stick to your ten year old talking points.

I don't like Elon Musk, either, but he isn't the only CEO of a company that makes EVs.

This is just not true at all. Most modern EVs now can charge from 30 percent to 80 percent in about 20 or 25 minutes at a DC fast charging station. And if you can charge at home with level 2 AC charging, yes, it takes four or five hours -- but you can do that overnight while you're sleeping, so who cares?
